Are the DAC Evaluation Criteria still relevant?

Participate in the Global Consultation! OECD DAC has started a process of exploring the adaptation of the DAC Evaluation Criteria to the new development context and landscape. The Survey at is open to all stakeholders in the evaluation profession and the broader development community in what will be a broad based consultative process.
The DAC Evaluation Criteria are widely used by many organizations and actors in the evaluation of development programs. They are currently reflected in policies, manuals and in the terms of reference in a wide range of individual evaluations by development ministries, agencies, banks, partners, NGOs, etc. They consequently have a strong influence on current evaluation practice.

However, after 15 years of applying these evaluation criteria, we believe it is time to revisit, or at least have a discussion on, whether they are still relevant.
